Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Vegetables
- Chop cabbage, onions, green peppers, and celery into bite-sized pieces.
Step 2: Combine Ingredients
- Place all chopped vegetables in a large stockpot.
- Add canned tomatoes, dry onion soup mix, and water to cover vegetables.
Step 3: Initial Boil
- Bring mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Boil for 10 minutes.
Step 4: Simmer Until Tender
- Reduce heat to low and cover.
- Simmer until vegetables are tender, about 30–35 minutes.
Step 5: Final Seasoning
- Stir in optional bouillon cubes for added flavor.
- Add salt to taste before serving.
