Each biscuit is coated in a warm, buttery, nutty brown sugar mixture, creating a gooey pull-apart texture reminiscent of monkey bread. This no-fuss version of coffee cake became popular in American kitchens during the mid-20th century as a speedy alternative to yeast-based doughs. It’s perfect for lazy weekend mornings, holiday breakfasts, or unexpected guests, minimal prep, maximum comfort.
