Ingredients
- 2 oz unsweetened chocolate (2 squares)
- ½ cup butter ( or margarine)
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup flour (sifted )
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup walnut meats (chopped )
Instructions
Step 1: Melt Chocolate and Butter
- Melt chocolate and butter together in the top of a double boiler until smooth. Remove from heat.
Step 2: Combine Dry Ingredients
- In a bowl, mix together sugar, sifted flour, and salt.
Step 3: Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
- Add the dry mixture to the melted chocolate mixture. Stir well.
- Add beaten eggs and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
Step 4: Add Nuts and Spread Batter
- Fold in chopped walnuts.
- Grease a 10″x14″ shallow baking pan and pour the batter in. Spread very thin.
Step 5: Bake
- Bake in a moderate oven at 400°F for 10 minutes.
- Cool before slicing.
