  • 1 ea. Pastry for 9" crust pie
  • 3 ea. eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • cup Brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • cup butter or less
  • 1 cup Dark Karo sysrup
  • 1 cup Pecan halves

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare Pie Crust

  • Roll out pastry and fit into a 9-inch pie pan. Set aside.

Step 2: Mix Filling

  • In a mixing bowl, beat eggs with a rotary beater until combined.
  • Add vanilla, brown sugar, salt, and melted butter. Mix well.

Step 3: Add Syrup and Pecans

  • Stir in the dark Karo syrup and fold in pecan halves until evenly coated.

Step 4: Fill and Bake

  • Pour the mixture into the pastry-lined pan.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40 to 50 minutes, or until set and the crust is nicely browned.

Step 5: Cool and Serve

  • Allow to cool before slicing. Serve plain or with whipped cream.
