
Green Sisters’ Pecan Pie

Ingredients
- 1 ea. Pastry for 9" crust pie
- 3 ea. eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ⅔ cup Brown sugar
- ¼ tsp salt
- ⅓ cup butter or less
- 1 cup Dark Karo sysrup
- 1 cup Pecan halves
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare Pie Crust
- Roll out pastry and fit into a 9-inch pie pan. Set aside.
Step 2: Mix Filling
- In a mixing bowl, beat eggs with a rotary beater until combined.
- Add vanilla, brown sugar, salt, and melted butter. Mix well.
Step 3: Add Syrup and Pecans
- Stir in the dark Karo syrup and fold in pecan halves until evenly coated.
Step 4: Fill and Bake
- Pour the mixture into the pastry-lined pan.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40 to 50 minutes, or until set and the crust is nicely browned.
Step 5: Cool and Serve
- Allow to cool before slicing. Serve plain or with whipped cream.
