Ingredients
- 14 oz sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup walnuts (put in blender or finely chopped)
- 1½ lbs powdered sugar (about 5½ cups)
- 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 1 stick margarine (or butter, softened)
Dipping:
- 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 stick paraffin wax (such as Gulf Wax)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare Filling
- Put coconut, walnuts, powdered sugar, condensed milk, and margarine in a large bowl.
- Mix with hands until well combined.
Step 2: Shape and Chill
- Form mixture into small balls.
- Place on wax paper or greased cookie sheet.
- Let sit several hours or overnight until firm (you can refrigerate to speed up).
Step 3: Melt Dipping Ingredients
- In a double boiler, melt chocolate chips and paraffin wax together until smooth.
