Ingredients
- 2 cans Pork & Beans (preferably Bush’s)
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 6 slices bacon (cut into pieces)
- ½ cup ketchup
Instructions
Step 1: Prep Beans
- Empty one can of pork & beans into a greased casserole dish.
Step 2: Mix & Sprinkle
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and dry mustard.
- Sprinkle half of this mixture over the beans.
Step 3: Add Second Can
- Pour the second can of pork & beans into the casserole.
Step 4: Top and Sauce
- Sprinkle remaining sugar and mustard mixture over the beans.
- Place bacon pieces evenly on top.
- Pour ketchup over the entire mixture.
Step 5: Bake
- Bake uncovered at 325°F for 2 to 2½ hours.
Step 6: Optional Marinate
- Cool and refrigerate overnight to let flavors marinate.
- Bring to room temperature and reheat before serving.
