  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Step 1: Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C).

Step 2: Combine Dry Ingredients

  • In a large roasting pan or baking dish, combine Cheerios, Rice Chex, Corn Chex, pretzels, and mixed nuts.

Step 3: Prepare Seasoning Mixture

  • In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, seasoned salt, onion powder, and garlic powder until well blended.

Step 4: Coat the Mix

  • Slowly pour the butter mixture over the cereal mixture, stirring gently to coat evenly.

Tips

  • Bake low and slow (250 to 275°F / 120 to 135°C), stirring every 15 minutes for even coating
  • Handwritten note says: “next time try more butter”,  add 2 to 4 Tbsp for richer mix
  • Increase onion or garlic powder if you want stronger flavor (noted on card)
  • Add cayenne or hot sauce for a spicy version
  • Substitute gluten-free cereals/pretzels if needed
  • Add bagel chips or oyster crackers for texture variety
  • Use fresh garlic/onion only if dried is unavailable, but dry seasons most evenly
  • Store airtight for 1 to 2 weeks; can be frozen for longer storage
  • Sweet–savory twist: add small amount of brown sugar or maple powder
  • Add rosemary or smoked paprika for an herby or smoky variation
