- 1 cup cottage cheese (cream-style )

- 2 pkg dry yeast
- 3 cups whole wheat flour
- 3½ cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 3 tsp salt
- 1 egg
Instructions
Step 1: Heat Wet Ingredients
- Combine water, cottage cheese, honey, and butter in a saucepan.
- Heat until mixture is very warm (120–130°F), but not boiling.
Step 2: Mix Initial Dough
- In a large bowl, combine warm mixture with 2 cups of the all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, yeast, and egg.
- Beat with a mixer or by hand for 2 minutes until smooth.
Step 3: Add Remaining Flour
- Stir in remaining whole wheat flour and all-purpose flour gradually to form a stiff dough.
Step 4: First Rise
- Place dough in a greased bowl.
- Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 45–60 minutes.
Step 5: Shape and Bake
- Punch down the dough and shape into two large or four small loaves.
- Place in greased pans.
- Let rise again until nearly doubled.
