Instructions
Step 1: Prepare Oats
- Pour boiling water over rolled oats and let stand for 30 minutes.
Step 2: Activate Yeast
- Soak yeast in ⅓ cup lukewarm water for 5 minutes.
Step 3: Mix Dough
- Add salt, honey, and melted butter to the oat mixture. Stir in yeast.
- Gradually add flour, mixing thoroughly until dough becomes manageable.

- Knead dough for 5–10 minutes, adding flour as needed, until smooth and elastic.
Step 5: First Rise

Step 6: Shape and Second Rise
- Punch down dough and divide into 2 large or 3 small loaves.
- Place in greased loaf pans. Cover and let rise again until doubled (about 30 minutes).
Step 7: Bake
- Bake at 375°F for 35–40 minutes or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
