- 2 lbs Ground beef
- 1 Large onion (Chopped)
- 3 cans Green chillies (Chopped or diced)
- 1 can pinto beans (Rinsed and drained)
- 1 can Yellow hominy (Drained )
- 1 can Kidney beans (Rinsed and drained)
- 1 can Lima beans (Drained)
- 43½ oz Shopped tomatoes (3 x 14½ cans)
- 2 packs Lowrys taco seasoning
- 1 pack Dry ranch dressing mix (* secret ingredient)
- 1½ cups Water
- 1 dash salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- Cheddar cheese (To taste)
- Green onion (Chopped, to taste)
Instructions
- Mix the ground beef and the chopped onion and brown in a large pot.
- Rinse the browned meat with hot water. You will get rid of the fat but not the flavor.
- Add all the ingredients to the browned ground beef and heat on your stove on medium.
- Let it simmer for 30 minutes after it comes to a boil.
- Garnish with cheddar cheese or chopped green onion if you want to.
