Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 cup cream
  • 2 oz butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 pint pecan nut meats

Instructions
 

  • Boil a cup of brown sugar, a half cup of molasses, a cup of cream and 2 oz. of butter.
  • Stir constantly as it boils until a soft ball is formed in cold water.
  • Add a half teaspoon of vanilla and pour over a pint of pecan nut meats.
  • Stir until it begins to sugar.
  • Then drop from the tip of a spoon in small cakes on buttered pans or plates.
