Ingredients
Loaf
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 ea eggs
- 2 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 cup pecans
- 3 ea bananas (crushed)
Frosting
- 2 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter milk
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 1 tsp sod
Instructions
Loaf
- Cream 1/2 cup shortening and 1 cup sugar
- Add 2 eggs
- Sift 2 cups of flour, 1/2 tsp salt and 1 tsp of soda
- Add all of it together
- Add 1 cup of pecans and 3 crushed bananas
- Beat well
- Bake for 1 hr at 350° in a long oblong pan
Frosting
- Boil ingredients in big pot to good soft boil stage
- Remove and beat until thick
- Add pecans if wanted
