Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups applesauce
  • 5 cups sugar
  • 1 packet fruit pectin (Sure-Jell)
  • 1 to 2 tsp Ground cinnamon ( to taste)

Step 1: Prepare Jam Base

  • In a large pot, combine 4 cups of applesauce with 1 packet of Sure-Jell.
  • Stir well to combine.

Step 2: Cook the Mixture

  • Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  • Add sugar all at once and stir continuously.

Step 3: Add Cinnamon and Finish Cooking

  • Add cinnamon to taste (start with 1 tsp and adjust).
  • Continue boiling the mixture hard for 1–2 minutes while stirring constantly.

Step 4: Jar the Jam

  • Remove from heat and skim off any foam.
  • Pour into sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch headspace.
  • Seal with lids and process in a hot water bath for 5–10 minutes if desired.
