- 1 tbsp butter ( or olive oil)
- 1 clove garlic (finely minced)
- ½ cup onion (chopped )
- 2 cups Italian plum tomatoes (canned , with juice)
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- ½ cup water
- ½-1 tsp sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Step 1: Sauté Aromatics
- Heat butter or olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and chopped onion.
- Cook until translucent and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
Step 2: Add Tomatoes & Paste
- Stir in the canned tomatoes and their juices.

Step 3: Simmer & Season
