Ingredients
  

  • 4 tomatoes (medium, peeled and halved)
  • 1 clove garlic (small, minced)
  • 2 tbsp fine dry bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (minced)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp margarine (or butter)

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare Tomatoes

  • Peel and halve the tomatoes. Place them cut-side up in a shallow baking dish.

Step 2: Make Topping Mixture

  • In a small bowl, combine garlic, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper.

Step 3: Assemble

  • Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the tomatoes. Dot with margarine or butter.

Step 4: Bake

  • Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10–15 minutes, until the tops are golden brown but the tomatoes are still holding shape.

Step 5: Serve

  • Serve warm as a side dish.
