  • 4 oz taco sauce
  • 1 oz dry taco seasoning mix (or burrito seasoning mix)
  • cup iceberg lettuce (shredded, for topping)
  • ¼ cup red onions (finely chopped, or topping)
  • ½ cup tomatoes (diced, for topping)
  • ¾ cups cheddar cheese (shredded, for topping)

Optional:

  • 2 tbsp black olives (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp green bell peppers (chopped)
  • 8 oz Tortilla chips (for serving)

Instructions
 

Step 1: Mix the Base

  • In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, taco sauce, and dry taco or burrito seasoning mix.
  • Blend well until smooth and evenly mixed.

Step 2: Chill the Spread

  • Spread mixture evenly in a shallow dish or pie plate.
  • Cover and chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
  • (Spread keeps well for 2–3 weeks in refrigerator.)

Step 3: Add Toppings

  • Before serving, let dip come to room temperature.
  • Top with shredded lettuce, diced onions, and chopped tomatoes.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  • Optional: Add olives and/or chopped green peppers.

Step 4: Serve

  • Serve with tortilla chips for dipping.
