Ingredients

  • 1 can bean dip
  • 1 can guacamole avocado dip
  • 1 jar Rotel picante sauce
  • oz ripe black olives (chopped)
  • 3 green onions (finely sliced)
  • 3 avocados (medium, mashed)
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 1 pkg taco seasoning mix
  • 3 tomatoes (chopped)
  • Garlic powder (to taste)

Oyster Dip Layer:

  • 8 oz Philadelphia cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup smoked oysters (chopped and drained)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 4 dashes Tabasco sauce

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Oyster Layer

  • In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, chopped oysters, mayonnaise, and Tabasco. Mix until smooth. Set aside.

Step 2: Mix Avocado Layer

  • Mash avocados and mix with a pinch of garlic powder. Optionally, blend in a squeeze of lemon or lime to prevent browning.

Step 3: Layer the Dip

  • Spread bean dip in the bottom of a 9x13" dish or shallow platter.
  • Top with guacamole avocado dip.
  • Add a layer of Rotel picante sauce.
  • Spread prepared oyster dip evenly over the Rotel layer.
  • Mix sour cream with taco seasoning, then spread over oyster dip.
  • Add mashed avocado layer next.
  • Sprinkle with black olives, sliced green onions, and chopped tomatoes.

Step 4: Chill and Serve

  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to blend flavors.
  • Serve with tortilla chips, pita chips, or fresh vegetables.

Tips

  • Chill at least 1 hour before serving to help layers firm.
  • Replace canned guacamole dip with fresh guacamole for better texture and flavor.
  • Add shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack as an optional additional layer.
  • Substitute chopped green onions with diced red onion for more bite.
  • Add a layer of seasoned sour cream (taco seasoning + sour cream).
  • Serve with tortilla chips, vegetable sticks, or pita crisps.
  • Sprinkle chopped cilantro over the top for freshness.
  • Add jalapeños for extra heat.
  • Use Greek yogurt in place of mayo in the oyster dip portion for a lighter option.
