Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ⅓ cups milk
  • 2 eggs

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare Pans

  • Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans. Preheat oven to 350°F.

Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients

  • Sift together the flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt into a large mixing bowl.

Step 3: Combine Wet Ingredients

  • Add mayonnaise, milk, and eggs to the dry mixture. Beat until smooth.

Step 4: Add Fruit and Nuts

  • Stir in chopped apples, raisins, and walnuts until well combined.

Step 5: Bake

  • Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans. Bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Step 6: Cool and Serve

  • Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then remove to cool completely. Fill and frost with 2 cups whipped cream if desired.
