Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 cup Pecans (chopped)
  • 1 tsp Garlic Salt
  • 8 oz Cream cheese
  • 2 cups Sour cream
  • 1 cup Green pepper (chopped)
  • ½ cup Onion (chopped)
  • ½ cup Milk
  • 2.25 oz Dried beef (1 jar)
  • ½ tsp Ground pepper

Instructions
 

Toast the Pecans

  • In a small skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter over medium heat.
  • Add 1 cup chopped pecans and toast for 2–3 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant and lightly browned.
  • Set aside to cool.

Soften the Cream Cheese

  • Let 8 oz of cream cheese sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes until softened.
  • This will make mixing easier and result in a smoother dip.

Prep the Veggies and Beef

  • While the cream cheese softens, chop the green pepper, onion, and dried beef into small, even pieces.

Mix the Cream Base

  • In a large bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, 2 cups sour cream, and ½ cup milk until smooth.
  • You can use a hand mixer or a sturdy whisk.

Combine Ingredients

  • Stir in the chopped green pepper, onion, dried beef, and the toasted pecans.
  • Add 1 tsp garlic salt and ½ tsp ground black pepper.
  • Mix thoroughly until everything is well combined.

Chill the Dip

  • Transfer the dip to a container, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour and preferably overnight.
  • This allows the flavors to meld and the texture to thicken.
