Crab Croissants
Crab Croissants are a classic vintage party appetizer that became especially popular throughout the United States during the 1960s through the 1980s. Combining creamy cheeses, sweet crab meat, mayonnaise, onion, and bright pimientos creates a rich seafood filling that's both elegant and easy to prepare. Often served at holiday gatherings, bridal showers, brunches, and cocktail parties, these sandwiches offer a delicious blend of creamy, savory flavors tucked inside flaky croissants. The combination of American cheese and aged English cheddar gives the filling both smoothness and sharpness, while pimientos add a subtle sweetness and color. This nostalgic recipe remains a favorite because it comes together quickly, can be prepared ahead of time, and always feels special enough for entertaining while requiring very little effort.
