  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 ¾ cups flour

Shortbread Cookies:

  • ¾ cup margarine
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour

Instructions
 

Chocolate Cookies:

    Step 1: Cream Ingredients

    • Beat butter and sugar until light. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing thoroughly.

    Step 2: Add Chocolate

    • Mix in melted chocolate.

    Step 3: Combine Dry Ingredients

    • Stir in baking powder and flour until a soft dough forms.

    Step 4: Shape & Bake

    • Shape dough and place on a greased baking sheet.
    • Bake at 400°F for 8–9 minutes.

    Shortbread Cookies:

      Step 1: Cream and Mix

      • Cream margarine and sugar. Gradually add flour and mix until dough forms.

      Step 2: Chill (Optional)

      • Refrigerate dough for 2 hours for easier handling.

      Step 3: Shape & Bake

      • Form into desired shapes.
      • Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes, until lightly golden.
