Ingredients
  

For the Casserole:

  • ¼ lb ground beef
  • ¼ lb veal
  • ½ cups onions (chopped )
  • 1 cup tomato purée
  • 3 cups mushrooms (sliced)
  • ½ clove garlic (chopped)
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 tbsp butter (for browning)
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese (grated )
  • ½ cup cooked chicken (finely chopped)
  • 1 raw egg (lightly beaten)
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

For the Supreme Sauce:

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups broth (beef or chicken)

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare the Meat

  • Cut beef and veal into small cubes if not ground.
  • Grind the meats together until well combined.
  • Brown in butter for 20 minutes or until lightly caramelized.

Step 2: Prepare the Sauce

  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Stir in flour to create a roux and cook for 1 minute.
  • Gradually whisk in broth until smooth and slightly thickened.

Step 3: Combine Casserole Ingredients

  • In a bowl, mix browned beef, veal, 468cooked chicken, onions, mushrooms, parsley, red whine Parmesan, and beaten egg.
  • Add supreme sauce and tomato purée, stirring until well coated.9
